It's Friday, I'm in love.

And so it's Friday again, and I am desperately hoping to fall in love, although that's probably never gonna happen. Or maybe it's gonna happen. Or maybe I should just be studying and/or watch Gossip Girl, only to afterwards read about it on World of Wonder.

No really, let's all just fall in love and find our fucking soulmates and get it all the fuck over with. Or as Shakespeare would have said, "let's all get shitfaced!"
But honestly, I love Fridays. And since it is that day today, I'd like to wish you all a HAPPY FRIDAY!

God was there...

I remember watching Ida Maria in concert two summers ago at the Hove Festival. They used to make so much fun of her for going crazy on stage, and I remember I used to laugh and think she was nothing special, not even bothering to look her songs up.
. They used to make so much fun of her for going crazy on stage, and I remember I used to laugh and think she was nothing special, not even bothering to look her songs up.. They used to make so much fun of her for going crazy on stage, and I remember I used to laugh and think she was nothing special, not even bothering to look her songs up.

It was in Milan one night I was thinking about Norway, just youtube-ing random Norwegian artists that her name popped into my head again. And so I looked her up. Honestly, you don't find that much on the web by her, but for those of you that know her, you've probably heard Oh My God and I like you so much better when you're naked.

The song that, however, really struck me was Stella. Basically God comes down to earth for some companionship (oooh, blasphemy) and ends up choosing this 43-year old hooker that he comes to like so much he promises her the whole wide World if she only stays with him for one night.
"And it made me realize how much you wanna give away just to feel loved. And the Lord blinked to me and asked 'What is real love to you? What is fake and what is true?'"
We like to think of God as this omnipotent power, a someone or something that doesn't have the same craving for love and acceptance, unlike us. Well, what if he isn't? After all we keep on reading he created us in his image...

Lonely Rider searching for wtff?

Loneliness... it's so sad when it hits you. But then again it's such a laugh watching lonely people... oh, sadism...

Mr. Oli Chang really captured the whole "sad lonely fucker" concept. Have a look beloooooow.

'89 should be fine.

Once upon time there was no such thing as the World Wide Web and only few people had cellphones. And cellphones were slightly less portable considering they weighed about three tons or so.

As a child of that time, but an adolescent of today, I'd like to bring some of it back to you and wish you all a good morning. It always amazed me how fun seemed so much more like fun back then. Maybe it has to do with the fact that none of their clothes were matching, or the fact that screaming and singing seemed to be synonyms... Considering that whole Berlin Wall fell and everything, I guess they had reason to party. Can we bring it back, please?

I might want to add that it's past two p.m., and that I should study and... oh, shit I just did.

Oh, well! Take some time to pump up the jam before you dig deeeeeeeep into those books.

SALDI @ GASOLINE!!!

Right before fashion week, Milan has been (and still is) in an uproar with all the sales.

Pay two drinks, and we'll give you the third.

You need to have that third whiskey. Especially before Friday morning's credit card bill gets to your front door....

Take a peek!

You can always dress up in a plastic bag when your closet is in the laundry.

I don't think I've seen a BIG HUG like that since the Teletubbies...

G for.... GREEEEIGE!

Never mix grey and beige...

That's what they say. I don't agree, and I now know I'm not alone. When I was in Barcelona, I saw this Gucci belt on display. It is grey and beige! Grey and beige! Doesn't it feel nice to know that the 90's are back and we just don't care anymore. What's next? Will buttons on jackets switch side?

Feel free to click for a larger version.

Grey + Beige = GREIGE!

All the way!

It's Vintage!

The thought of old clothes make some people gag. Of course, if we're talking about moth-eaten shoes, I share the same idea.

But in a time where everyone wants to be unique and individual and... blah, blah, blah... you either make it yourself, have someone design you a unique piece or go vintage.

As for vintage shops, there are plenty of rather disgusting ones, but if you find a really good one... let's just say that I'm in heaven and HALLELUUUUUJAH.

Sourcream and Scandinavia

I grew up with chips flavoured with Sourcream and Onion when I lived in Norway. It was Cami who spotted these at the supermarket, and thought them perfect for a movie night. Not surprised they claim to be Scandinavian. I've been craving this like a crack whore claims a little pick-me-up. I've even been looking for sourcream at the supermarket with no success.

Anyways, these are delicious. Not only so, but part of the proceeds go to help children in Africa. So for your next movie night, choose charitable Scandinavian sourcream potato chips.

Takk, takk.

Recycled Thoughts

"When a heart is broken, there´s nothing to break"
This is what a certain Mr. Robbie Williams would say.

To some extent, Robbie is right. But, after careful analysis of this statement, I have concluded that it does not necessarily mean things will stay broken forever.
A nice cup of warm tea, some good friends, a red couch and four pills of paracetamol (for heartbreak fever) can help soothe some of the pain.
However, my most effective remedy was staring out at this beautifully confusing city with a cancer stick in one hand and a pencil in other, fantasizing about Bukowski.

For your information, I have always fantisized about Bukowski. He is the perfect man. A troubled genius, honest to the bone and uniquely corageous.
Too bad he´s dead.

Anyway, in the span of 24 hours, the clouds in front of my moon have shifted into some other corner of the sky.
Hopefully, they shall stay there so we can all get some sleep soon.

Thank you, and good night my little pigeons.
